Additional Details

Raucourt was the chief engineer at the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and ran its lithographic press. First published in Paris in 1819 this is considered the best of the early manuals of lithographic printing. In the preface Hullmandel claimed it to be the best description yet for those wishing to learn the process and its myriad complications as opposed to those already familiar with printing.
